Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals activated third baseman Ryan Zimmerman from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday. Zimmerman has been on the DL since May 26 with a slightly torn labrum in his left shoulder. The 23-yeard-old hurt the shoulder while sliding headfirst in a 2-1 win over Baltimore on May 18, but continued playing with the injury until May 25, going 8-for-22 during that span. In 50 games this season, Zimmerman is batting .257 with eight home runs and 27 RBI.

Pena, who has a small tear and impingement in his left rotator cuff, was placed on the disabled list on Friday. In the bottom of the third, Young fouled off a pitch and was replaced by pinch-hitter Pete Orr, who stayed in the game playing third base. Ronnie Belliard moved over from third to play first base. Langerhans, 28, has appeared in 23 games with the Nationals this season, and singled six times in 30 at-bats. Most of his playing time came at Columbus, where he hit .310 with three homers, drove in 31 runs and stole 12 bases in 62 games. Bernadina, 24, batted .125 in 10 games for the Nationals this season.
